Rayogram

This to some who dont know is not a photograph, in fact there is no camera involved in the making of this type of photo.  To make this photo you must have photo paper and some objects you want to place on the photo paper and you need a dark room.  This photo was simply made by using a film canister, 2 pieces of a popsicle stick, a small stapler like object and a lot of super thin wood.  I like this photo because it was easily one of the most enjoyable projects all year long and i really enjoyed learning about this, the dark room and how to make objects appear just by placing objects on photo paper and exposing it to the light.

Breaking the Rules

In these photos i broke the Rule of Thirds rule by making that the main points of interests to the human eye are not in the middle or above the photo.  I also broke the Golden Section rule by showing that the eye of the viewer is not always drawn to the main point and it is not always drawn to the same point on almost every photo.  I also broke the focus rule on some photos in here, showing that in the photo of the person it shows the reflectino and how it is not in focus and for the leafy photo, only half of it is focused.  For the coca-cola can it shows how the portioning and balance in this photo is awkward.

Renaissance

 

 

 

 

In this photo i wanted to show the Renaissance photo of the Machiavelli portrait.  Unfortunately at this time i was not nearly experienced enough with photoshop as i did not know how to make the background of my photo co-incide with the portrait.  Machiavelli for those who don't know was an italian historian, politician, diplomat, philosopher. humanist and writer based in Florence during the Renaissance period.  He was widely considered as an official in Florentine Republic and he was a founder of modern political science.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mixed Lighting

In this photo that i took with a digital camera, i used 3 different types of light.  I used an LED light, a fluorescent light and an incandescent light to produce 3 different colours of light emitted onto the photo.  I like this photo because i never knew that different types of light actually affect the way a photo turns out.  I like how the light is extremely bright on one side of the subject's face and then it is a dark tone on the opposite side of his face.

Perfect Studio Lighting

In these photos i took i wanted to show expression and how the light changes in each photo affecting the way a photo is effectively taken.  I really like how the contrast between the light reflecting from the umbrella and the dark from the non-illuminated part collide and there is a middle mid-lit part of each photo.

Painting with Light

In this painting with light picture i really enjoy the 3 stances and how they are projected across the width of the dark room.  I really like this picture because it speaks to me about light and how it can really define an image or images in this case.  I enjoyed making this painting with light photo because it was fun to experiment with light and what it can really do when pushed to the limit.  This photo was taken with a camera at different angles and the flash to outline the subject while the subject moved across the room.

Panorama

In this panorama i wanted to show what mood i was in.  This photo was taken with the shutter speed not too fast and the aperture set low.  I really like this photo because it expresses Winter in such a way showing that it is a dull time of year now that the leaves are falling and days are getting shorter.
